There's something intriguing about Chad, and even though Owen knows that getting tangled up with the infuriating man is trouble, he can't seem to stay away… Review: Chad and Owen. Owen and Chad. The two most unlikely people might just end up together. Wild rough going, Chad met the socially awkward geek, Owen at his sister’s party and without question he wanted nothing more than to get inside the guy’s head and ruffle his feathers. Perfect blonde hair, horn rimmed glasses and with a bow tie to match, Owen was enough to pick at Chad’s increasing interest. And in terms of sexual attraction, both of them were on board with that. Both of them out doing the other actually with Owen being not so shy at all when it came to giving pleasure. The sexual tension exuded from a mile away. It would have been perfect, too bad they hated each other’s guts. I got to admit, the sexual tension in this book never stopped. The sex, man. Each scene had its own flair and sexy factor that I didn’t really mind reading scene after scene. I mean come on, a green with white polka dots bow tie was involved in one. That there was good enough reason to read this book. This was technically an enemies to lovers type but not quite. They were both attracted to each other and they obviously gave in to those desires but both of them were too stubborn to make something out of it. The journey from their casual sex to an actual relationship was the key point of the story. Add to that the unavoidable circumstances that only proved how vulnerable their relationship really was. Chad was too stubborn, Owen was too motherly. But for me, it really was just Chad having issues with things that pulled at them. They were bound to crash and what was interesting was how things were going to get after it. The epilogue I absolutely loved. It was like a breath of fresh air seeing the two of them finally together. They could have had something like that from the beginning but miscommunication and pride got in the way. Silly boys. Writing- wise, this was done well. It was an easy read and I didn’t have any problems at all with the way the story flowed. The story was light in terms of angst and enjoyable at the same time. The dialogue though, I wanted more of that dirty talk! Team Owen all the way! Favorite Line: “Oh, so we’re public fuckers?” “No, we’re forget-the-bed, gotta-have-you-now fuckers.” |
