They’re together openly as a couple, sharing a home and building a life with their two children. It’s what they dreamed of. But daughter Anna struggles with the changes, Ben is haunted by old secrets, Mac’s job in Homicide still demands too much of his time, and Tony is caught in the middle. It’s going to take everything these men can give to create a viable balance between home and work. Especially when the outside world seems determined to throw obstacles in their way. Me and this book: You guys know how much I love this. There are no more words to express the love I have for this book. Period. Review: Living the life of Tony and Mac is proven to be not easy. As the story goes, Mac and Tony are finally off the hook of the closet and now out in the open. And it has both its pros and cons. The pros are the most obvious, with Mac having to go home to a lovely cooked dinner, an evening spent with the two rascals, Anna and Ben, and of course, to end the day with little stress reliever activities with Tony. Nothing beats going to bed with Tony in his arms, all naked and his. The cons, however, is what’s bothering both our heroes. With a new murder case on hand, Mac struggles to juggle his work and his time at home. It’s not always peaceful at home though, Anna being the little girl the she is, finds it hard to live in a new house with Tony as her new guardian and Ben here still suffers from the traumatic events that had happened to him in the past months. Mac and Tony both share the troubles and the problems and often times fixes them but some days are just harder than the others. There are also new characters on the way, Tony’s family appears and makes themselves know. With Mac’s, on the other hand, there is still that mysterious vibe that Tony tends to figure out when the time comes. This book focuses more on the hardships and the responsibilities that needs to be done on the journey of being a family. And through this the readers get the taste of knowing what it’s like to having the perfect soulmate by your side no matter what problems may get in the way. Reading about how Tony completes Mac and how Mac completes Tony is just magnificent to experience. There are a lot of surprises in this book, I guarantee, both for the good and the bad and it’s better to keep your hearts open. This book can make you cry from happiness and sadness by the chapter so be prepare for another whirlwind of emotions especially on the last few chapters. |
